Leeds, 13 April 2012
– National law firm Dickinson Dees has set the seal on its relocation from York to Leeds in a major office deal brokered jointly by office agency specialists at property consultants Jones Lang LaSalle
and Colliers International.
Dickinson Dees, which announced last year that it would relocate from The Chocolate Works, York, has signed a ten-year sublease for 17, 030 sq ft on the 6th floor of No 1 Whitehall Riverside, from BNY Mellon, a tenant of the 6th and 7th floors, in the biggest property letting in Leeds since May last year (2011).
Senior surveyor in the National Office Agency team at Jones Lang LaSalle, Tom Brammeld, said: “No 1 Whitehall Riverside, one of the top office buildings in Leeds, is a significant seven-storey, Grade A office building close to the heart of Leeds’ professional services community, local amenities and the railway station. Dickinson Dees will be based among other high-profile occupiers including solicitors Cobbetts and accountants Grant Thornton.”
Jones Lang LaSalle is also marketing 6,500 sq ft available at No 1 Whitehall Riverside, on the ground floor. The office building has a secure basement car park.
A director at the Leeds office of property consultants, BNP Paribas, Michael Leonard, acted for Dickinson Dees in the deal.
Head landlord for the property is insurance company NFU Mutual.
