Jones Lang LaSalle were appointed by Virtus Data Centres to conduct a market search for freehold premises suitable for conversion to a Data Centre within the M25 to develop their Data Centre portfolio. The search was to be undertaken within tight timescales whilst ensuring a competitive edge in negotiations.

A detailed list of key requirements was agreed with the client prior undertaking a comprehensive review of existing data centres, buildings and design and build opportunities within the agreed search area.

After a period of due diligence a shortlist of suitable buildings were presented to the client which were benchmarked against pre agreed criteria including the availability of power, fibre, flood risk and the likelihood of planning for data centre use.

Unit 3 Crown Road was selected as the preferred property and terms were agreed for the freehold purchase subject to planning and power.

Virtus Data Centres are now offering fully fitted secure, resilient and cost effective data centre space in halls from 4,500 sqft with 8 MVA of power and multiple fibre connectivity.
