Understanding the sustainability potential of a site or building is an important step before embarking on a development project. We can provide a range of assessment and certification services for developers, starting with portfolio flood risk assessments that identify the key sustainability risks of a development site, including flood risk and climate change adaptation needs. Where an existing building is being redeveloped, we offer a progressive range of pre-acquisition surveys that are tailored to the speed and nature of the transaction process. More detailed assessments of existing buildings identified for development, including socio-economic issues are conducted using our Sustainable Property Assessment methodology and ultimately we can provide a wide range of building energy audits, tailored according to the depth of service required. We can also offer advice to design and accredit buildings to green building certification standards such as LEED, BREEAM, HQE and Code for Sustainable Homes.
