What is driving the industrial warehouse market in West London and Thames Valley?

The Western Corridor Industrial warehouse market has again confounded expectations by delivering an increase in take up. The October Jones Lang LaSalle Western Corridor Industrial Warehouse seminar, focussing on West London and Thames Valley, was chaired by Director, Richard Evans and showcased our views and forecasts on the market. Speakers addressed the following:

• Researcher Alexandra Tornow placed the warehouse and industrial market into context, examining demand and supply drivers, now and in the future.
• Bridget Outtrim, Director (Thames Valley) put the spotlight on Heathrow, addressing who is in the market and why, where rents are going and where the opportunities are.
• Mike Kershaw, Director, looked at where investment outperformance will be in the Western Corridor and highlighted how selective property investment now should pay dividends longer term.
• Finally, Tony Watkins, Managing Director of Cyclamax presented an occupiers perspective, assessing why the recycling industry is finding the Western Corridor market more attractive now.
