Consistently, research in previous years has shown that overall the "Size" of individual parks is seen to be an influence on costs, lowering costs per square foot or square metre with increasing area. However, this is masked in some classifications by issues of quality, of service and local surroundings. We have not repeated this analysis for OSCAR 2008.
Analysis in earlier OSCARs has demonstrated that there is a regional influence on costs within parks with costs tending to be less in the North. This is less strong than "size" influence and can be masked by issues of quality and a reaction to the local environment to the park. In this OSCAR we have not carried out further research.
