– Jones Lang LaSalle
has been ranked the most active office agency team in Leeds according to newly released figures from an independent survey.
According to the recently published CoStar Leeds Office Agency League table
, Jones Lang LaSalle’s National Office Agency team in Leeds has scooped the top spot in three of the four categories: the most active disposal agent, office availability and number of office instructions in Leeds city centre. Over the course of 2011 the Leeds based team successfully disposed of 153,503 sq ft of office space in central Leeds giving it a market share of 18%, and was also ranked first for the total amount of office space it is instructed to market and the number of leasing instructions (59).
Jeff Pearey, Director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s National Office Agency
team, said: “Following our merger with King Sturge last year we have secured a number of new mandates as well as continuing to act on a tremendous range of important instructions which offer a wide range of opportunities. To have grown our market share, in what remains a tough occupational market, is fantastic news for the team and our clients and we are very proud of our first place rankings.”
Commenting on 2012 market activity, Richard Thornton, Director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s National Office Agency team, added: “We have seen a much stronger start in the first quarter of this year with Leeds office take-up totalling 155,000 sq ft. Activity has so far been driven by a broad sector base including business and professional services firms as well as the Telecommunications, Media and Technology sectors which accounted for around 20% of leasing volumes during this period."
The CoStar Agency League Tables result follows on from Jones Lang LaSalle’s recent awards success at the Yorkshire Property Awards 2012, organised by the Variety Club, which saw the Leeds based Investment team honoured with the Best Agency Team – Investment award.
