London, 4th May 2010
– Jones Lang LaSalle was crowned Investment Agency Team of the Year in front of more than 1,300 people at the prestigious Property Awards 2010
, held at London’s Grosvenor Hotel on Tuesday 27th April by Property Week Magazine.
A senior panel of five client-side judges (Threadneedle Property Investments, Invista, Hansteen, F&C Reit and Rockspring Property Investment) were impressed by the £5.4 billion of UK transactions Jones Lang LaSalle advised on, which marked an increase in market share from 14% in 2008 to 22.5%, a rise of 61%. The shopping centre investment team had a 56% market share, advising on £1.1 billion of deals, including Silverburn shopping centre and 50% of Meadowhall.
Julian Stocks, Head of Capital Markets for England
, who collected the award, said: “It is incredibly rewarding to see our continued hard work and creativity recognised in this manner. Despite the general slow down and some of the toughest trading conditions since the mid 1990s, Jones Lang LaSalle’s investment teams adapted quickly to the challenging market conditions in 2009, and acted on some of the most significant deals of last year. This success is testament to the quality, expertise and drive of our people, and the excellent service they provide to our clients.”
