The Jones Lang LaSalle Manchester Breakfast Briefing was held on Thursday 8 September 2009 at the Manchester office with over 200 banking, property and public sector clients to hear Jones Lang LaSalle’s views on the commercial property market.   

The Breakfast Briefing was the 8th in the series, and for the first time external speaker Lynda Shillaw, Managing Director of Co-operative Estates provided a keynote presentation on the new headquarters of the world-famous organisation, sharing her thoughts on the masterplan and on the rationale for relocation within Manchester city centre in the current climate.

Chaired by Bob Dyson, Chairman of North West and Head of Development Consultancy, speakers addressed the following key themes:

• Alan Gardner who heads the UK Capital Markets Research team used his in-depth knowledge to provide an update on the UK economy and property market.
  
• Jonathan Mills, Director of Manchester Office and the Manchester Investment Team provided an overview on the North West Investment Market – Resurrection or Fools Gold?
  
• Lynda Shillaw, Managing Director of Co-operative Estates provided a keynote presentation on the new headquarters.  The masterplan and key strategy for the new headquarters is to achieve an iconic Class A sustainable office building built to BREEAM Outstanding standard. Working together in partnership with Jones Lang LaSalle the aim is to deliver a first class development which will further emphasise Manchester's European status as a leading city for major regeneration projects.
