Alan, who originally hailes from Coleraine, Northern Ireland, is a professional rower and Britain's leading single sculler.  He was discovered by the firm when the directors from the National Investment team held an away day at Henley which was led by Bill Barry, Alan’s manager, and which involved the team rowing on the Thames.  The team was captivated by Alan's story and his extraordinary dedication to achieve his target of gold.
